CHATA Launches Silent Auction: Black Friday Edition 2018

 

WILLEMSTAD, November 19, 2018 – In an effort to raise funds to be able to continue to contribute to the development of Curacao’s tourism industry, CHATA launches once again its annual Silent Auction. The CHATA Silent auction is one of the many fundraising events CHATA organizes throughout the year. During the Silent Auction the local community can bid on various auction items ranging from hotel accommodations, airline tickets, activities and more at a fraction of the price.

 

As a non-profit organization, CHATA partially relies on fundraising activities to carry out their important mission, which is to contribute to the development of a sustainable tourism industry on Curaçao. The funds raised through the Silent Auction are invested in tourism development projects such as tourism awareness campaigns, human capital development and promotion of the destination. The funds generated by the Silent Auction in 2017 made it possible for CHATA to launch the NosTurismo Campaign, to provide various workshops/trainings to employees working in the sector and students aspiring a career in the tourism industry and the Stars of the Industry event where we recognize outstanding employees of the sector to name a few.  The Silent Auction will start on November 21 and continue through November 28 ending at 11.59PM.

 

CHATA is grateful to all its members who have provided many great auction items available for the public to bid on such as; accommodations, flights, fun island activities and much more.
